Parallels 和 VMware 公司的虛擬軟體戰爭，應該是不會有停止的一天，繼2009年
10 月 27 號上市的 VMware Fusion 3.0 之後，Parallels Desktop for Mac 也推
出最新版 5.0 的虛擬軟體。主要的更新和支援，幾乎可以把 VMware Fusion 3 的
複製貼上過來：

- 支援Snow Leopard作業系統。
- 支援模擬 64 位元 Windows 7，可用 Windows 7 裡的 Aero 和 Flip 3D 效果。
- 更好的 3D 加速支援，支援 Direct X 9 與 Shader Model 3 和 OpenGL 2.1。
- 利用 Parallels Transporter 可以把你原有 PC 上W indows 轉移到 Mac  模擬
  機上。
- Linux 作業系統更好的支援。

最後，根據 Parrallels 自家工程師的說法，在同一台 MacBook Pro上運行模擬的
64 位元 Windows 7，Parallels Desktop 5 硬是比競爭對手快了22%！不過這樣的
說法，還是要等到第三方詳細的 PK 實測之後，才會有客觀的數據出現，
